• Social work placement four days a week on ward at Byron Central Hospital and one day a week in community at Murwillumbah Community Health Centre• Community counselling: anger management, affect regulation, family dispute resolution, trauma informed care, promoting agency and self-determination in clients• Case management: Centrelink, Housing, Guardianship, Advocacy, NDIS, service coordination• Palliative care and legal matters: enduring power of attorney, enduring guardianship, advanced care directives, will preparation, life insurance claims, funeral preparation, hospice liaison• Crisis presentations: suicidality, mental health, family conflict, child protection • Multidisciplinary Team meeting: weekly discharge planning, internal referrals to allied health and medical staff and external referrals to community and government resources• Liaison with Indigenous Health Services, Drug and alcohol, Disability Services• Biopsychosocial assessments, progress notes on electronic medical record, attended to privacy and confidentiality and hospital processes policies and procedures• Engagement in internal and external supervision

Research Assistant at the University of Queensland with the SONAR study which tracks people’s change in social networks and identities during and after residential drug and alcohol treatment and how these social changes relate to other outcomes such as drug use and well-being.
