Growing up I always knew I wanted to be an engineer. My older brother would always take toysapart and I would put them back together and that gave me a great feeling of accomplishment.I pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering because it offered a broad range of options topursue. My dream is to have a career where I can feel accomplished about the work I am doingand continue to learn and be challenged every day.To summarize my accomplishments, I was responsible for preparing and performingexperiments on automotive radiators for my senior design project. I calibrated all the datalogging equipment from National Instruments and programmed LabVIEW to record the data.This project had an extensive use of Microsoft Excel to analyze the results with relations to findthe optimum radiator size for the University’s Formula SAE race car. In an eleven weektechnical elective, I designed a camshaft profile for the Formula SAE race car using RicardoWAVE. The project required learning a new program in an 11 week summer session and takingdetailed measurements of the engine to produce an accurate simulation model. The simulationmodel I created produced results that coincided perfectly to the actual power curve taken fromreal world dynamometer testing. I have 18 years of experience in automotive racing which hasbeen my main hobby and has given me extensive experience in problem solving and a highmechanical aptitude. My specialty is turbo charging vehicles that were originally naturallyaspirated and calibrating engine management systems.
