This traumatic event followed an incident where her then-boyfriend's anger spiralled out of control. Clinging to the exterior of a speeding vehicle, he gripped her wrist until he flung her aside like a rag doll. Lying there, battered, and broken, she glanced up at a sea of indifferent eyes. Not a single soul had extended a helping hand or even inquired about her well-being. It was a bewildering moment, and the conspicuous lack of care eclipsed the pain she had just endured. In that very instant, she grasped the extraordinary power wielded by bystanders.Jo's unwavering commitment to being a warrior for change, a tireless challenger of the status quo, remained steadfast when confronted with a David & Goliath legal battle initiated by her Strata Committee. Her inquiry into the abuse of property rights in strata led her all the way to the NSW Supreme Court of Appeal, where she secured a unanimous judgment in her favour—a landmark case that restored owners' property and pet rights.Never one to ponder without action, Jo now embarks on a mission to combine her passion for advocacy with her gift for music. She seeks to educate and inspire corporations, communities, and individuals on how to transition from a bystander culture to a flourishing one, enabling both corporations and individuals to create lasting social impact, retain their cohesive teams, and steer clear of legal disputes.
