My role at Connsci as a Principal Recruiter is to help our organization grow. I am always looking for new team members and am specifically focused on Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, Help Desk/Technical Support Professionals, Program Managers, and Cyber Security experts. Focusing on individuals with backgrounds in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, User Experience (UX Design and UX Research), and Chief of Staff- Leading and facilitating team meetings for our Director and Sr. Director recruiting pod- Providing coaching and mentoring to other recruiters on best practices, tool/system usage, and inclusive sourcing strategies- Sourcing candidates from LinkedIn, Indeed’s internal candidate database, Google, conference lists, and other avenues- Devising and executing on inclusive sourcing techniques to ensure a diverse slate of candidates were under consideration for every role - as well as championing DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives more broadly within recruiting- Advising senior leadership on talent market and providing guidance on how to attract top level talent- Working closely with our senior leadership to redesign our interview and debrief process for User Experience hiring

While at Capital One, I worked on a specialized team focused on recruiting Director and Sr. Director level technical talent. Disciplines I recruited for during my tenure included Machine Learning, Data and Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Program Management, and Product Management including people leaders and high level individual contributors. Some of my responsibilities included:- Engaging with executive stakeholders to understand resource needs, consult on talent market, and provide qualified candidates - both for active needs and proactive pipelining- Ensuring diverse and inclusive applicant slates at various stages of the recruiting process. Specializing in diversity sourcing/recruiting strategies.- Serving as the lead Director+ recruiter for our Enterprise Data Machine Learning and Cloud Productivity Engineering organizations. Engaging with Accountable Executives and Chief of Staff teams in these areas on job prioritization, recruiting best practices, and overall talent strategy. - Leading talent mapping for Machine Learning, working closely with Capital One’s head of ML, to grow this organization.
