Project manage two Gulfstream Flight Control programs. Plan the labor, schedules, and equipment required for systems engineering, software, and testing. Track and report program progress at weekly Program Reviews. Ensure software deliveries are made on time and with quality checks in place. Update certification documentation including the Plan for Software Aspects of Certification.

Member of a high performance System Integration and Test team responsible for integrating features across a wireless network that adapts commercial 3G WCDMA architecture into a military UHF SATCOM system for secure voice and data transmissions (MUOS). Integrated, then wrote and executed more than 50 system test procedures for such features as Spectrum Adaptation, integration with the Defense Switched Network (DSN), Group power control capabilities, Emissions Control, and single and multiple service calls QOS. Performed full system integration with the Network Management System (NMS), radio ground system, and the user console. Co-authored a white paper on the system’s ability to perform Radio Frequency (RF) Spectrum Adaptation in the network. Performed the role of QA and CM interface for the team. Managed all document production, configuration management, and peer reviews for several deliveries. Produced requirement-to-test traceability matrices. DoD secret clearance.

Project managed a team of system testers as well as developed and executed tests for the Boeing 787 flight control system. Team consisted of 8-12 engineers both on-site and in Minneapolis. Developed tests from customer requirements and MATLAB models and executed them in a real time hardware environment. Test environment was very immature and required a great deal of debugging and troubleshooting.

Member of a six person Systems and Software QA team assigned to managing internal and subcontractor compliance to government Data Item Directives, Statements of Work, and CMMI Level 3 software development procedures. Required travel to contractor site to perform quarterly audits. DoD secret clearance.

Responsible for integrating Common Test Environment (CTE) processes into Military Systems Applications and improving practices on the Apache helicopter to SEI CMM Level 3. Project managed the CTE activities on the Egyptian Apache program. Responsible for maintaining budgets, allocating resources and reporting results on a weekly basis. Managed to bring cost and schedule variances down significantly within only six months. Chose to leave for shorter commute opportunity.

Technical Program Manager 2001 – 2003Responsible for managing all aspects of customer trials including coordinating initial contract negotiations, site engineering, equipment delivery, installation, problem solving/problem feedback, and bottom-line focus in an effort to introduce new IP Centrex product to major local exchange carriers. Served as the liaison for customers, off-site sales executives, and internal marketing and program management teams. Concurrently managed seven laboratory trials with five customers resulting in sales of approximately $7,000,000. Initiated process improvements to establish a problem reporting mechanism that facilitated a smooth flow of communication for the customer. Presented customer status to CEO and executive team at monthly board meetings.Process Engineer 1999 – 2000Member of 6 person team assisting in re-engineering entire software development process with the introduction of the CodeWarrior Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Implemented software development processes and documentation; redeploying technical staff and eliminating duplicative positions. Created training materials and taught classes to engineering staff. Quality Engineer 1996 – 1998Led team in monitoring and improving overall software quality on a Class 5 Telephone Switch. Established, implemented, and administered an effective quality assurance process resulting in an improvement in customer index quotient of 7% over a one year period. Initiated process improvements including centralization of build processes, addition of simulation test steps prior to laboratory checkout, and automation of repetitive simulation test steps. Designed and maintained web site to enable automatic access of team quality statistics and training. Integration Test Engineer 1994 – 1996Led integration test team in the effort to integrate the GTD-5 CLASS-5 telephony switch to the AT&T/Lucent SLC2000 remote switching unit.
