They specialized in the sale of insurance policies that are were specifically designed for pre-planned funerals, that were sold through funeral homes. I was responsible for sales in the state of Michigan. My core focus was on relationship management and sales. Sales goals were either consistently met or exceeded.

Recommended what states, distribution channels, and client profiles to target. Developed sales training material for sales representatives and after care collateral material for clients. Hired and trained sales representatives.

The Loewen Group was the 2nd largest funeral home acquisition company behind SCI (Service Corporation International). Today it no longer exists. Much of it was acquired by other acquisition companies. Initially responsible for the states of WI, MN, and MI, which turned into primarily MI base properties. The focus was to diffuse conflict and create a happy work environment between the at-need funeral staff and the pre-need insurance sales team.
