As an educator with over 15 years of experience in the Career & Technology field, I am dedicated to nurturing my students' love for all things hospitality. My journey began with diverse experiences throughout the hospitality industry which eventually evolved into an aspiration for fostering the same love and passion for the hospitality world in the next generation.I specialize in creating hands-on learning experiences that engage students and connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications. My approach is student-centered, emphasizing collaborative projects and inquiry-based learning. All success is measured by each individual's learning experience, whether it is an internship placement or a field trip connection.In my current role, I serve as the CTE Department Chair, organizing multiple recruitment events throughout the year, leading to an increase in the number of students enrolled in our programs. I am actively involved in curriculum development, ensuring that our content is up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and educational best practices.I am a lifelong learner, constantly seeking professional development opportunities to enhance my teaching methods. I regularly participate on district advisory committees, serve as an Advisor for a student-run national organization, and mentor new teachers to promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in education.
