About Jodi Lai

I'm a multiple award-winning automotive journalist, podcaster, and video host with over 15 years of experience. I'm excited to host your next show about cars. I live for telling people's stories and explaining cars in a way that everyone can understand, and making the automotive world a more diverse and welcoming space.I offer a unique, expert perspective and am an advocate for the everyday consumer. I'm a talented, relatable, and charismatic on-camera personality. I also have a solid understanding of how to juggle the many skills and responsibilities needed to be an effective team manager in a fast-paced, digital-focused news environment with an eye to empowering my direct reports to be proud of the work they produce. I have been obsessed with cars since I was little and have been covering the automotive industry for my entire adult life. I have a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University, am a member of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), and a jury member for the prestigious North American Car/Truck/Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY). I was awarded as the 2022 AJAC Journalist of the Year, which represents the pinnacle of automotive journalism in Canada and is the most esteemed automotive writing award available in the country. I have also won awards for my video presentation skills and photography.
