(Hint: It’s me)My career path isn’t overly traditional (not unusual for an Arts student I would wager) but regardless whether it’s sales, product, customer success, content, marketing or culture, my North Star is always people.As Maya Angelou said: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” For me, this captures the essence of the impact I always hope to make as a person and a professional.My career has been dedicated to delivering strategic, high value experiences and services, identifying improvements and efficiencies, and coaching, mentoring and leading high-performance teams. I am equally comfortable leading projects or being a contributing member of the team; either way there will be lots of neon Post-It notes and a strong possibility of a team karaoke excursion….When it comes to leadership, I’m going to refer to the indomitable Ruth Bader Ginsburg: “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” I have spent many years honing my leadership style to help others reach their full potential and pride myself on demonstrating authenticity and accountability with every step. I model the way for my team by bringing them on the journey, driving and personally practising connection and vulnerability, and encouraging reciprocal, in-the-moment feedback.Throughout my career I have always been the unofficial company cheerleader! I am passionate, energetic, curious and thrive being in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. I promote the values of the organisations I work in, rally those around me to collaborate and participate and encourage a sense of play and creativity in the workplace. (Hello impromptu dance-offs!) I embrace change and help others traverse difficult transitional periods.I have accomplished a lot in my career but my proudest achievements are as a mentor, friend and advocate. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing people I have led, mentored or supported go on to achieve their own successes.My life is an open book and I will wax lyrical about my favourite topics (cinema, theatre, books, travel, politics, feminism, my family, my fur babies…) if given the chance! I am a fervent supporter of DEIB and adhere to a core philosophy that musical theatre soundtracks make everything better....
