I opened my business in Prior Lake in 1999 after working for law firms prior to and during law school as a paralegal. The insight has been invaluable in my hands-on approach to representing clients in my small, home town office. Although I have practiced in the areas of medical and legal malpractice defense, insurance defense and other areas of law in the past, I feel it is imperative for clients to know that you do not need to have a big office downtown to be a great lawyer. The direct client contact and personal service of a local lawyer has been a satisfying and rewarding career in the practice of law for me. I expect to continue practicing law in the south metro area and will advocate for my clients as an intellegent, articulate and knowledgeable lawyer who is responsive and attentive to client matters and to the needs of my clients.My assistant, Lorraine and I have worked together for years to serve our clients' interests. As a team, we maintain a high level of professionalism and availability to work directly with our clients. Lorraine has extensive experience in customer service and financial aspects of the business. I provide the legal expertise to handle high asset complex cases, family disputes, custody, parenting time issues or financial allocation for clients. From basic cases to help clients complete the paperwork when everything is agreed upon to court trials and litigation, we strive to meet our client needs.Specialties: Although my primary areas of practice focus in family law and estate planning, I have worked on personal injury cases for over 30 years. I worked for 10 years as a paralegal in the Mankato area for a firm that did plaintiff personal injury and insurance defense. I am a qualified neutral for mediations and do custody studies, parenting plans, Social Neutral Evaluations (SENE), Financial Early Neutral Evaluations (FENE), parenting time expediter work and act as a parenting consultant. I am also a licensed foster parent as well.
