I worked in the Pediatric Unit in a Hospital setting. As a Medical Assistant, I performed vital signs, phlebotomy, prepare hospital rooms for patients being admitted to the Pediatric Unit and ensure the patient and their family has everything they need. As the Team Center Coordinator, I answer phones, create patient charts, update log book, I also organize transportation for incoming and outgoing transfer patients.

As a Case Manager, I primarily obtained prior authorizations and pre-certifications. I have knowledge of multiple EMR programs, scheduling referrals and consultation appointments. I ensure patient encounter forms are complete, verify and update demographics and insurance information. I also perform clinical duties such as patient's vital signs, Electrocardiograms, Pulmonary Function Tests, Pulse Oximetry, bladder scanner, urinary catheterization, fetal Doppler monitoring, administration of medications and Immunizations, Urinalysis, HgbA1C, PT/INR, Hemoglobin/Hematocrit, Rapid Strep and Influenza tests, Pharmacology Dosage Calculations, Specimen Collection and Phlebotomy.
