I have had the unique opportunity to hone my skills as a remote instructor for NU since 2011. I have gained extensive experience in delivering content and engaging learners virtually. Sociology is a discipline that lends itself well to remote instruction, as it encourages students to think critically about the world around them, regardless of physical location. Through teaching sociology remotely, I have created a dynamic and interactive virtual classroom that benefits from diverse student experiences and geographic areas. This approach has also enabled me to provide increased flexibility and accessibility to students who may not have been able to attend classes in a traditional on-campus setting. By teaching sociology remotely, I can leverage technology to create a more engaging and inclusive learning experience for all students while empowering them to become informed and engaged citizens who can positively impact their communities.
