Collaborated with a team of primary care and behavioral health professionals to offer integrative care to the residents of Newark, NJ and the surrounding area. Assessed the psychosocial needs of patients during primary care visits to offer a multitude of services within a single visit, reducing barriers often seen within traditional medical settings.

I worked with wide variety of populations within this 200+ bed facility. The first floor houses children with medically complicated disabilities, the second floor houses young adults up to age thirty with developmental disabilities, and the third and fourth floors are housed with geriatric/psycho-geriatric residents. My work included group sessions with each floor twice a week, as well as group after school care on both the first and second floors. My musical interventions come from several different perspectives on psychology as well as music therapy. I use pre-composed repertoire as well as music that I have written for each client's individuals needs. I used a wide variety of visual aids, including adaptive board games and academic resources. I included a lot of improvisation styles within my individual sessions on a variety of instruments to find the preferences of each client.
