As Wellways Community Engagement Coordinator I am truly passionate about helping participants achieve their goals. My favourite part of my role is seeing the positive outcomes for participants and the smiles and joy on their faces whilst attending social activities and seeing the friendships they have made.Wellways Australia Limited is a leading not-for-profit mental health and disability support organisation with services in across Australia. Our services span mental health, disability and community care, and reach thousands of people each year.We work with a diverse range of people living with mental health issues or various disabilities. We connect people, strengthen families and transform communities. We work with individuals of all ages experiencing disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing. As Community Engagement Coordinator at Wellways I have developed a substantial Social & Recreation Program which helps participants achieve their goals, develop friendships, increase confidence and learn other skills such as effective communication and cooperation. I oversee our volunteers and successfully implemented our Life in Community Volunteer program in the South Eastern Region. This program provides volunteer support for up to three months to assist people who experience mental health issues in their recovery journey.I have also completed Intentional Peer Support Training. Peer Work harnesses the lived experience of mental ill-health and recovery to support others while fostering hope.I have also previously worked as a Marketing Executive for Oneida Ltd, McPhersons Consumer products and Sealite, companies renowned for their quality consumer goods where I built and implemented successful marketing campaigns bringing innovative products to market.I am a hardworking, highly organised and efficient team player with excellent computer skills. A fast learner with proven initiative, excellent communication and problem solving skills. A creative individual with excellent attention to detail. A very responsible employee who loves a challenge and works well autonomously or as part of a team.
