My first job was as a paper girl; delivering a service by pedaling a bike and talking to the neighbors. Some things change, but many stay the same. I do not fit into one category, instead I collect business experiences, skills, and principles. This is me; the product of decades of hard work, continued learning, and risk taking. Being a military spouse for 9 years brought the added challenge of reinventing myself and my business, after each move. (Italy, Alaska, and Arizona) It also created the perfect environment to learn Italian, travel the world, improve social networking, and tear down boundaries.I started working in the salon industry in 2000 as a receptionist. My connections and experiences created at a young age set me on the path you see today. After 2 years at Mizzou, I moved to Arizona to attend the Toni & Guy Academy. I worked hard to obtain my cosmetology license within a year (1600 hours, along with the written and practical exams). I apprenticed for a year at Taglio Salon in North Scottsdale, specializing in Wella hair color and Vidal Sassoon cutting techniques. In 2005 I opened my first studio. It was ambitious, risky, and an adventure. The challenge of building clientele for the first time in a studio setting was an eye opener. I jumped into business networking to grow my small business. Skipping ahead 16 years, my path here has included a marriage, a 3 long distance moves, owning and starting 2 more hair salons, the designing the buildout of hair studios, the completion of my Bachelors of Business Managment, and working as an adventure tour guide worldwide. I have honed skills and experiences I never anticipated.My professional and personal goal is to strive to never stop learning and exploring what I am capable of achieving. I enjoy the challenge, the problem solving, and sharing my passion for wellness, traveling, and adventure seeking with guests and clients alike.
