Stock Control being the backbone of a supermarket is a role that necessitates due care, attention and speed, duties such as stock replenishment, gap scanning, price reduction scanning and counting items within the store to ensure levels of stock in-store marry stock levels on the system.The role requires excellent communication with your on-department colleges as everyone must be updated with what is going on near-constantly, I have gained skills in concise communication, working with numbers and speed, I feel that my ability to focus on multiple tasks at once with clear focus is something that will translate role-to-role.In addition to this I am also a customer service assistant, my role is to assist customers with queries they may have or any support/help they need within store, due to the coronavirus I have taken up many new tasks such as overseeing the amount of customers in-store and making the decision to shut entrances to isles, promoting the wear of masks for customers and managing the main door to ensure all customers have masks and are adhering to the rules set by Tesco.
