In February 2023, I joined HRPA to spearhead a team of 60+ towards achieving a growth and transformation mandate.During the development of our comprehensive new strategic plan, Vision 2027, I orchestrated a financial turnaround within a remarkable 9-month timeframe. Despite facing a budgeted $1.8M deficit, with a board-mandated target of a $1.4M deficit, we successfully achieved a $182k surplus. This achievement laid a robust foundation for the organization's sustainability and future growth. Our success was driven by a steadfast commitment to enhancing our operational discipline while surpassing revenue targets by 3%, equivalent to approximately $500K.We are currently on course to achieve our 2024 objectives, which encompass significant revenue growth target and the generation of another operating surplus. We are on track to attain 17% Revenue Growth since I started in the role, with over 5% member growth, and a ten-year membership peak. This surplus will empower us to further invest in our expansion while enhancing our relevance and impact. We aim to grow our membership by 30% and our revenue from $14.2M in 2023 to $20M in 2027.In 2023, amidst stabilizing our operations, we initiated HRPA's strategic planning process in June. This pursuit culminated in Vision 2027 in February 2024—a forward-thinking four-year strategic roadmap crafted through community engagement, member feedback, and extensive research and analysis. This blueprint delineates our collective vision, mission, values, strategic pillars, and priorities, guiding HRPA's endeavors towards growth, impact, and sustainability. Grounded in a people-centric approach, our plan is laser-focused and outcome-driven, encapsulating our organization's rich legacy while boldly charting a course for the future. It is ambitious, designed to ignite a culture of excellence, and we are eagerly poised to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
