I have spent the last 28 years of my career designing the conditions that bring people's best forward. Formally trained as an educator, I built the foundation for my entire career on a simple premise. Context is a gateway to creating meaningful experiences. I have applied this simple premise to complicated services; software applications, classrooms, boardrooms, and designer career paths.I like to think of my career in chapters. In the first chapter, I took part in defining a new type of craft in the internet's developing startup world. The role that psychology, empathy, humans, making, and culture, infuse my muscle memory and mindset well before Snowbird 17 penned the Agile Manifesto.The second chapter brings that skill and definition to scale at the enterprise. My 14 years at IBM has exposed me to the diverse minds that enable a 105-year-old technology company to thrive. In IBM's latest transformation, I played a critical role in creating a sustainable design culture by building its first designer career path. As a Design Thinking Leader, I invoke the importance of radical collaboration across diverse teams. I find inspiration across engineers, scientists, researchers, business leaders, educators, activators, and wild ducks. I currently serve the Watson Health Design community aligning, provoking, planning, and making. Tactically I think daily about User Experience Design Strategy, Product Management & Strategy, Cross-Portfolio management, Design Management, Behavior & Design Measurement and Quality, Inspiring teams to be ever curious.In this third chapter, I am looking forward to unleashing the power of a Design Minded organization that focuses on growth by learning how to deliver thoughtful experiences to our customers and clients continuously.I'm always looking to grow my personal and professional network.
