I learned why most struggle with being positive... it’s not a basic biological trait. Earlier in human history, paying attention to bad, dangerous, & negative threats was literally a matter of life or death. The modern world has removed many immediate dangers, yet humans are still learning how to cope in their new environments. Fortunately, our brains can be trained to see & act in a more positive light.
