Welcome, please allow me to take you on my career journey... let's dig in! As most teens do, I started working at the age of 16 at a local pizza place. After 7 years of dedication, I decided to enter the world of insurance at Noel Group which would eventually become AIG Travel Guard. Insurance became my passion for 16 years. I dedicated myself to the call centers, assisting with cell phone insurance at Noel Group then transferring to AIG Travel Guard to assist travelers around the world with insurance needs, delays, and emergencies - each call was different, from selling policies to helping someone with a medical emergency thousands of miles away. After 7 years in the call centers, I transferred to AIG Travel Guard's Underwriting department as a Document Technician. I began working with marketing directors, CEOs, sales, distribution centers, legal teams, insurance commissioners, and more. A small sample of my daily tasks; create insurance policies based on a business' needs while aligning them to each state's Insurance laws and regulations. Assisted with the creation and ordering of marketing materials. Tracked weather or other events throughout the world that may impact travel. Travel Guard was an amazing company to work for. They provided so many great opportunities, including a paid day off to volunteer. This brings me to why I made the tough decision to leave a job I loved and still miss. I used my day to volunteer at the Special Olympics State Tournament in June 2016. It was then I made the decision to leave the place I called home for so many years and pursue my lifelong dream of working with children with disabilities. I began my new career as a Special Education paraprofessional. The happiness I felt was like no other. Sadly, the compensation and limited schedule did not fit me or my family's needs. Therefore I chose to leave the school district after 5 wonderful years. I made the exciting and challenging leap back to corporate America. I currently work in the Post Closing department at Associated Bank as a Loan Document Specialist. My primary function is auditing loan documents ensuring adherence to government regulations or internal compliance requirements. I look forward to continuing my journey as a professional, wherever it may lead as long as happiness is a part of it.
