John is a Forensic Scientist and Digital Evidence Specialist involved in civil and criminal data investigations for Government agencies and law enforcement, as well as private companies and commercial organisations. He specialises in Incident Response involving server and systems breaches resulting in data theft. Leveraging his programming skills, John can reverse engineer the malicious code used to compromise computer networks to determine what intellectual property has been ex-filtrated, who is responsible and how exactly they got in. Acquisition and analysis of evidential material is carried out to exacting forensic standards meaning that the evidence he produces will stand up to robust challenges at court. John is an experienced Expert Witness and gives evidence at court regularly.John's background is in programming and technical architecture - in the past he was responsible for trading systems on a busy Tokyo trading floor and later for designing the global Active Directory security architecture for a major investment bank.Holder of a Master’s degree in Forensic Science in the field of computing, over eight years John built a modern laboratory from just two analysts up to four labs employing 22 scientists and technicians providing forensic analysis for the Metropolitan Police and other law enforcement agencies.
