About Jody Britton

I received my MSW from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2023. My passion involves child welfare, foster and kinship care, adoption support, mental health, and policy reform. I feel that leadership and supporting roles are simultaneously my strongest gifts. I am able to fit into both spaces when needed. I have strong networking skills and love the art of connection. I have experience in program development, research, training, event planning, grant writing, fundraising, and supervision/management. I desire to help marginalized people groups and underserved populations access meaningful support while working to change the systems that further their oppression. I have the capacity to juggle a lot of balls at once and actually enjoy it that way! In addition to my role of directly serving foster and kinship families throughout the state of Colorado, I advocate at the macro level any chance I get. This includes county and state child welfare advisory councils, state-level child welfare task forces and workgroups, and policy reform. My passion for children, kinship care, adoption, and family health stems from my personal life experience. I am honored to be able to serve in all of these areas and consider it a privilege to have my career and passions collide.
