Management of Cumbria Wildlife Trust's Gosling Sike Centre and wildlife garden near Carlisle including; developing new partnerships, project development and management, internal and external communications, managing stakeholder relationships, volunteer management, event planning and delivery, fundraising, and income generation.

Responsible for marketing and communication projects including creating a new brand and ecommerce website, strategy development, and managing The Derwent Art Prize. Day to day marketing activity included copywriting and proof reading, online content management, organising events, budgeting and forecasting, and briefing designers and suppliers.

Part of a RDPE funded project team increasing access to, and interpretation of, the World Heritage Site in Cumbria. Focused on business engagement, marketing, and capital development. This varied role involved managing sub-projects, copywriting and proofreading, event management, and working with local media, as well as administration and reporting support for the project manager.

Assisting with the delivery and administration of the ERDF funded Adventure Capital project to promote outdoor activities in Cumbria to different markets including families and those new to the outdoors. Management of sub-projects and partner/stakeholder relationships to deliver a variety of print and online marketing campaigns including walking and cycling route publications.

Writing and delivering the marketing plan for three linen hire sites supplying businesses throughout Cumbria, southern Scotland and north Yorkshire. This included branding, market research, business to business communications, relationship development, customer service and marketing communications.

Orlando, Florida Area

A 6 month graduate placement to learn about international tourism through work experience at the EPCOT Theme Park and university level courses at the University of Central Florida. The role included exceptional guest service and communication with all ages and nationalities while representing the Disney brand and managing visitor flow at the attraction.

Penrith, Cumbria

Assisting with the Discover Eden project. Tasks included planning and delivery of the Eden Rivers Festival, working on the charity re-brand, managing a web design company, and producing communications for different audiences through websites, newsletters, and press releases.
