Responsible for maintaining facility and grounds including coordinating major construction project with Public Works which resulted in no negative impact upon regular library operations or patron’s use of the library. Implemented constructive relationships with branch Friends Group, community leaders, law enforcement and political leaders including local City Councilperson. Asked to join system wide Technology Action Group and International Outreach Committee. Hosted events attended by both the current and former mayors of Louisville as well as many other prominent public figures. Implemented successful programs such as the English Conversation Club, Homework Help and Café Book.

San Antonio, Texas Area

I was the assistant manager of the busiest public library in San Antonio. Supervise staff of more than 15 including Librarians, Library Assistants, Circulation Attendants, Library Aides, and Maintenance workers. Responsible for ensuring excellent customer service for all patrons, development and continual refinement of library’s collection, creation and implementation of all adult programming and community outreach services. Responsible for physical upkeep and maintenance of library building and grounds via frequent communication with City of San Antonio Asset Management department. Working relationships with other governmental entities such as Bexar County Board of Elections, United States Census Bureau, City of San Antonio Department of Community Initiatives, etc. Provide best possible reference service to hundreds of patrons of all ages and backgrounds each and every week. During my time with SAPL I was chosen from more than 500 employees for the Outstanding Individual Contribution award.
