I consider myself to be an emotionally intelligent leader with equality and fairness at the heart of everything I do. My personal and professional values encompass that I was the first in my family to go to University and came from a working class background, therefore it is really important to share my experiences to motivate and encourage those around me in order to support and develop personal growth and success, whatever that may look like!At the moment I am Course Leader for BSc (Hons) Nursing - the largest programme within the University with responsibility for over 3,500 student nurses. My course vision is to help educate our future nurses to join the healthcare workforce with compassion, empathy, kindness and with the evidenced base to deliver high, quality care within their chosen field of nursing.I have a wide range of transferrable skills and knowledge from previous roles across different organisations working in Health and Safety, Leadership, Learning and Development, Risk Management and various administration roles.I also worked in the Performing Arts as a dancer and singer, and was a member of Actors Union, Equity.
