Lead the strategy for a portfolio of distinguished events through the leadership of an event team of 10. • Manage, coach, develop and train a team of distinguished event staff to meet income goals of over $5.3 million annually; ensure that responsibilities and accountability of all direct reports are well-defined.• Accountable for management and delivery of income performance targets for staff team of 6 and their respective portfolios of distinguished events including; galas, golf and other social events• Work within and across verticals to maintain distinguished event program standards and delivering against the enterprise strategy by meeting/exceeding revenue goals.• Develop, oversee and provide input on strategic planning and goal setting for distinguished events staff/portfolio. Including volunteer committee recruitment, management and succession planning, event execution, growth, communications and evaluation.• Identify and execute best practices that result in growth of event revenue in alignment with income plans; drive and encourage innovation.• Lead market account meetings that include; Community Development, Corporate Relations, Major Gifts, and Mission Control staff to meet shared objectives, goals and market priorities.• Lead Chicago market stewardship events to engage current and prospective volunteer leaders.• Partner with Major Gifts staff on the cultivation and stewardship of existing and prospective donors.• Build strong relationships and directly collaborate with Corporate & Distinguished Partners staff to leverage external affiliations, sponsorships and volunteer engagement through Distinguished Events. • Support the Illinois ED, Regional EVP and VP; Distinguished Partners to ensure the mission, top line, and bottom-line goals are reached as well as compliance with enterprise policies. Assist in long term strategic planning to ensure growth through Distinguished Events.•
