The Director of Inventory, Planning & Purchasing plays a critical role in improving service to our customers, supporting business growth, and optimizing working capital. This position is accountable to develop a strong national Planning, Purchasing, and Integrated Business Execution team, meet service expectations, and optimize working capital. My team works cross functionally to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices.

The Director of Supply Chain Planning plays a critical role in improving service to our customers, supporting business growth, and optimizing working capital. This is accomplished by developing a strong Planning team, developing key KPIs to drive continuous improvement, and working with cross functional teams to implement best practices.

Lead the strategic and tactical execution of the Eastern Region supply chain team managing $100MM of inventory, including demand management, supply planning, capacity planning, inventory planning, and ERP master data.o Manage the Planning function for the East Region of Univar USA. Responsible for $100MM of chemical inventory which includes 30 warehouses.o Reduced East region inventory by $15MM by implementing Planner retraining, adopting a review/approval process for replenishment orders, and requiring adherence to stocking policies.o Lead a team of ~45 Planning professionals whose responsibilities include optimization of working capital, maximization of on time delivery, improvement of forecast accuracy, and management of supply replenishment strategy and supply risk profile. o Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service in ~30 facilities to implement standardized processes while improving operational efficiency. Established criteria for bulk processing at all locations. o Implement processes to monitor and improve Planner performance. Leveraged the use of Planner dashboards to review on time delivery, back orders, excess/ages inventory, late POs, system maintenance status, etc. o Manage the procurement of all 3rd party drop ship orders for the East region. o Coordinate the review / reduction of excess and obsolete inventory for finished goods inventory

Led a team of sourcing professionals with responsibility for $150MM of spend for the Consumer division of Chemtura. Implemented a model to manage global vendors which leveraged the experience of extended team members in Europe and China. Sourcing team delivered +$4MM cost savings in 2011.o Manage the BioLab direct spend for the Consumer Business. Spend portfolio of $150MM; chemicals packaging, labels, film, corrugate, pallets.o Led a team of sourcing professionals whose responsibilities included optimization of total cost of ownership/working capital, improvement of the supply risk profile, and vendor relations management. o Responsible for driving strategic sourcing process and leveraging spend on a global basis. Identified and minimized risk associated with sole/single source situations. Established criteria and process to prioritize and monitor qualification activities. o Monitored market intelligence, developed spend baseline and assessed internal customer/business needs. Developed and implemented sourcing/negotiation strategies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (SOX, ACC, Internal Controls, CTPAT etc.)o Responsible for annual cost savings initiatives. 2011 delivered $4MM+ in cost savings. Provided market intelligence and data to the Commercial team to support price modifications of the finished goods.

Led a global team responsible for optimization of procurement transactional activities globally. My team was also responsible for compliance and learning.o Led automation projects to drive improvements in productivity. Areas of focus: operational stability, metrics, customer satisfaction, learning, and knowledge management. o Supported the implementation of ERP o Procurement lead to work with other functions and businesses on procurement requests to support regulatory requirements or business needs such as mergers & acquisitions, REACh, country of origin requirements to support Logistics regulatory requirements, etc.o Owner of processes for several purchasing tools, SAP R2 /R3, MSMS, PSMS, DPRS, etc.o Working Capital Project Lead which was on track to deliver benefits of $100MM - $150MM for spend in NA and EU.

Managed raw material portfolio of $120MM of chemical spend for locations in North America and Europe. Managed suppliers on a global scale.o Compile Market Intelligence, develop spend baseline, assess internal customer or business needs, develop sourcing strategy, develop RFI and RFP documentation, develop negotiation strategy, complete negotiations and ensure processes comply with regulatory requirements (SOX, ACC, Internal Controls, CTPAT etc.)o Responsible for driving Rohm and Haas and Dow strategic sourcing process and knowledge with Category Managers and Procurement Operations; share best practices including leveraging information and data collected through consolidation and sharing on a common databases o Document and report on cost savings realized; identify new savings opportunities.

Managed the sourcing processes for Rohm and Haas global procurement. This included involvement with all businesses in all regions. The responsibilities included both direct and indirect purchasing. o Led a cross functional team responsible for transforming procurement transactional activities in NAR. o Led automation projects to drive improvements in productivity. Ensured that the PO Simplification and Invoice Reject Reduction automation teams’ recommendations and strategies were implemented. o Supported the Director of Energy & Risk Management on new Business Development opportunitieso Acted as the Procurement lead to work with other functions and businesses on procurement requests to support regulatory requirements or business needs such as mergers & acquisitions, REACh, country of origin requirements to support Logistics regulatory needs, etc.

Led the Procurement transformation to a center led function for all Rohm and Haas locations on the West Coast. Managed the procurement activities for facilities located on the West Coast, which included multiple business units. Managed both direct and indirect purchasing. Managed vendor relations which included contract implementation and compliance, supplier nonconformance resolution, and supplier evaluation. Worked closely with all sites to facilitate cost savings / cost avoidance.o Temporary assignment to manage distributor chemicals for North America.o Managed a team of Procurement professionals spread across the WA, CA, and AZ. o Special project lead for a global cross functional team to identify and communicate procurement best practices. o Special project lead for a cross functional team to optimize the purchasing process for North America and Europe.
