I founded “froggyxcloset”, an online business on Telegram selling vintage clothing targeting the Generation Z market. I have grown my customer base to over 2,100 subscribers. During my 6 month internship, I was attached to the Kindergarten 1 class at PCF SparkleTots. I had a greater exposure to interacting and working with children from diverse backgrounds. I was given ample opportunities to teach, conduct storytelling and facilitate classroom routines. My teachers also provided feedback on how I can further improve my lesson plans, enabling me to grow as an educator.Through these 6 months, I discovered which classroom management and teaching strategies work best for the class. During my 1 month attachment in Year 2, I was attached to the Playgroup class (2-3 years old). I facilitated with classroom activities and routines, such as naptime, diapering and mealtime. I worked closely with my host teacher to ensure a consistent approach to the children’s social and emotional development. Having implemented lessons for the first time, I was unsure of how to manage the class but with the guidance of my host teacher, I picked up useful classroom management strategies. I also gained a deeper insight on creating effective lesson plans, as well as my first glimpse of what an early childhood educator role entails.

I launched my first online business on Shopee, receiving close to 300 orders monthly while juggling with school. After much in-depth research and sourcing, I created a market for affordable clothes targeting the Generation Z market. This has developed my problem solving skills and resourcefulness. I have built a loyal customer base with over 1,700 followers and a monthly traffic of over 10,000 traffic to site. Ensuring good customer service has been translated into an overall review rating of 4.8/5.
