In this expanded role, I am charged with leading the Foundation’s efforts in Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Sebastian and Washington counties. As a member of the Development team, I will continue to provide donor services to existing fund holders, work to establish new relationships, and support our community-based affiliates throughout Carroll, Washington, Crawford, Sebastian, Johnson and Pope counties.

My official job title is Development Director. I describe my role as a "Philanthropy Concierge!" Headquartered in Little Rock since 1976, Arkansas Community Foundation engages people, connects resources, and inspires solutions to build community. I joined the Foundation to establish a regional satellite office in Northwest Arkansas in the fall of 2017. My role is to deliver exceptional donor services (concierge!) to existing fund holders, provide Fundraising and Development training and support for the staff and advisory boards of 3 affiliate offices (the Carroll County Community Foundation in Eureka Springs, the Fayetteville Area Community Foundation, and the Western Arkansas Community Foundation in Fort Smith), and to develop relationships to advance philanthropic activity throughout the region.Arkansas Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that fosters smart giving to improve communities. The Community Foundation offers tools to help Arkansans protect, grow and direct their charitable dollars as they learn more about community needs. By making grants and sharing knowledge, the Community Foundation supports charitable programs that work for Arkansas and partners to create new initiatives that address the gaps. Since 1976, the Community Foundation has provided more than $450 million in grants and partnered with thousands of Arkansans to help them improve our neighborhoods, our towns and our entire state. We work locally through a network of affiliate offices, each with a local staff presence and advisory board. Contributions to the Community Foundation, its funds and any of its 29 affiliates are fully tax deductible.

As the executive director of the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas, I led a team of staff and volunteers through a decade of transformational growth and expansion, positioning the organization to achieve its mission, vision and strategic goals for the long term. Successfully led the organization through a $2.2 million “Pathway to Prosperity” Campaign for endowment, reaching goal in 15 months (Nov. 2014-Jan. 2016).Grew annual grant/foundation support by 54%.Expanded the scholarship program from primarily a direct financial assistance organization to include robust supportive services such as biannual personal and professional development workshops and a formal, volunteer-staffed career mentoring program.Led the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Washington County through a merger acquiring the SPSFs of Madison and Carroll counties to become the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas (2009). Led the organization through a complete rebranding initiative including new logo, tagline and mission statement. Implemented the brand across all web and print media (2010).SPSF NWA is a community supported effort, working to create better, brighter futures for single parent families by offering encouragement and access to higher education.SPSF NWA serves the residents of Carroll, Madison, and Washington County Arkansas.Scholarships. Successfully secured underwriting support for the 2007-2008 season.

• Created and implemented a robust annual development plan which resulted in a 46.5% increase in local support over 36 months. • Led the successful implementation of the first ever HEROES Campaign for the Northwest Arkansas Chapter. Recruited, trained and engaged 37 volunteers in a community-based fundraising effort which resulted in $78,000 in new donations for the local chapter over a 3-week period. • Facilitated and coordinated a 12-hour telethon with a local media outlet resulting in $330,000 for Hurricane Katrina Relief. • Led the creation and marketing of a mission-based signature event for the chapter – now in its 5th year.• Successful in increasing overall visibility of the agency and its services through local media coverage, placement of public service announcements, and professional networking opportunities.• Responsible for all external communication (direct mail, print, radio, television and web mediums) and served as the spokesperson for the agency. Coordinated the messaging for our chapter. Created the tagline “Where Heroes are Trained.”

• Built a team of 27 independent sales consultants over a 5 year period.• Awarded the company’s Top Performance Cluster Award for personal recruiting in 2001. (Among the top 1% in a company of 65,000 consultants)• Directly recruited, oriented, trained and managed independent sales consultants through monthly sales meetings and web-based communication. • Marketed and sold quality kitchen products through over 350 in-home demonstrations. • Responsible for booking, scheduling, and host coaching prior to the show. • Retained loyal hosts and customers after the show with excellent customer service. • Achieved company travel awards based on sales in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.
