Girl Scouts offers the best leadership development experience for girls in the world. The Girl Scout Mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, I help prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure through a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities like earning badges, going on awesome trips, selling cookies, exploring science, getting outdoors, and doing community service projects.My first two years I served as a parent volunteer. Since then I have been a member of the Leadership Team for two troops. I have filled many roles including Leader, Assistant Leader, Banking Specialist, Cookie Manager, First Aider, and Driver. I have completed the training for many licenses and certifications required within Girl Scouts; including a Criminal Background Check for the Leader License, CPR/FirstAid/AED training for the First Aider Certification, Be Safe/Be Ready courses for the Overnight License, Fire Building and Outdoor Cooking for the Cookout License, Tenting for the Camp License, Extended Troop Trip Training for the Travel License, and Bronze Award Training to assist leading Junior Girl Scouts toward earning their Bronze Award.

As Greensboro Moderator for TriadMommies, I was responsible for welcoming new members to my area group, helping them get involved online and at events, initiating conversations, monitoring member activity on the forums. I also planned many local activities and community-sanctioned events, such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk or Treat event, monthly Mom's Night Out events, park playdates, trips to the Science Center, messy art parties, and so much more.
