  The following were my responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Bridge Branch:• Federal oversight of bridge construction, repair, operation, for bridges over navigable waters of the northeastern United Sates. • Directed, supervised and coordinated the daily operations of the bridge programs (permit, drawbridge regulations, Truman-Hobbs, drawbridge casualties, navigability determination, bridge construction oversight, fender and navigational lighting inspection and approval). • Conducted pre-planning and coordination with federal, state, and regional transportation agencies, railroad, marine association, national defense agencies, emergency response and planning agencies to discuss long term transportation plans, port development initiatives, emergency management, port security and strike contingencies plans.• Managed and directed the bridge administration criminal and civil penalty program enforcement. • Oversaw the construction/re-construction of the New Tappan Zee, Goethals, Rte. 7 (Whittpenn) and Bayonne bridges.
