My responsibilities included establishing a pattern and standards for microservice use in the companies product. Implemented a distributed microservice based application and API for getting shipping quotes and ordering shipping services from major and minor shipping providers. I was responsible for developing several microservices including the B2B payment service with integration with a third-party payment platform for processing ACH and credit card payments and a reporting service for internal and external generation of reports shown to end customers. In addition, I developed the framework for intra-service messaging and batch processing of large number of shipment orders. Our application is hosted in Azure Kubernetes Service, deployed using Azure DevOps and uses many other Azure services including Azure Postgres, Azure APIM and Azure Service Bus.

File Analysis Suite is a SaaS offering helping enterprises identify and act on sensitive data stored in their non-structured data stores (i.e. File Systems, SharePoint, Email, etc). Run as a set of cloud hosted microservices, FAS processes, indexes and annotates terabytes of data, using AI to identify PII and other sensitive data. Once identified, sensitive documents can be categorized and processed based on company policy.As an architect, my work was predominately focused on migrating from the aging orchestration platform to Kubernetes, while maintaining consistent uptime.Technologies: Java, micro-services, Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon

I was asked to lead a team working on a new offering for Micro Focus' ITOM group. The offering was to be part of their internal Kubernetes offering (CDF) that allowed for quick and easy configuration and installation of ITOM applications into a Kubernetes cluster. I was in charge of bootstrapping a new product with a new team, from design, to implementation and integration with existing offerings.

NetIQ was acquired by Micro Focus in November 2014.I led an architect team in charge of a product responsible for $6 million in annual revenue. PlateSpin Migrate, Forge and Protect were a legacy product that my team was tasked with modernizing and adding cloud functionality. Using the existing framework for migrating workloads from physical to virtual hardware, I architected a new offering that moved from physical/virtual to cloud (Azure, AWS, Oracle).Technologies: C#, Virtualization (VMware), Distributed systems, Linux, Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure)

Built the staged, distributed product update process used for ZCM.
