Worked on the Search & Browse Product Team to build a new e-commerce search experience. Actively worked with Elasticsearch and Logstash, Java/Spring, MySQL, Docker, various CI/CD tools, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry Platforms.Implemented a machine learning experience on the search results pages that reranks search results based on how relevant a search term is in relation to its search results and historical click stream data. This model shifted the search results paradigm from a suggestive to a predictive approach. Utilized Elasticsearch and the Learn To Rank plugin as well as Kafka to stream machine learning data into Elasticsearch.Additionally built a stateless authentication and RBAC (role-based access control) authorization system that can be bolted on to any Java/Kotlin service. The system makes use of asymmetrically signed JWTs (RS256), public keys in the form of JWKs, and a mechanism for JWT validation to occur locally at the service level. Supports human and machine identities. Integrates with Microsoft Active Directory. System adheres to relevant RFC specifications.Also responsible for operating a continuous delivery system that automatically deploys production ready Elasticsearch clusters with variable server configurations in Microsoft Azure.

I worked in the Technology Analyst Program at Bank of America. I developed a Java program that helps the company keep better track of recorded/unrecorded checks on a per month basis. The software I developed monitors millions of database check records each month and compares them to other important metrics set by management. My code was successfully deployed to production servers.
