I am a non-traditional student seeking research internship opportunities in the chemistry field. I would like to work in a lab where I can get experience using a mass spectrometer or doing x-ray crystallography. I am also open to any other internships doing quality control and overall being in a lab comparable to the pharmaceutical or agricultural industries.I understand that as a supervisor, one must assume many roles in a project. With that understanding I know how to apply myself to afford my supervisors the time they need to complete or oversee some of their other various tasks. As a former Infantry team leader, I took command of a 9-member squad for a total of 3 months in the absence of our supervisor. During this time I had to perform all management duties in addition to my own. These included writing and submitting detailed reports, managing squad resources, and assisting in the development and execution of mission plans.Brief history: I born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I joined the US Army Infantry at the age of 18, realizing one of my child hood dreams. I served from April 2010 to January 2017 and was honorably discharged. I am honored to have served with the Legionaires 1-24 Infantry Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, and the Wolfhounds in 2-27 Infantry Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, both under the 25th Infantry Division.
