Associate Principal ScientistMerck Jan 2020 - Mar 2021As an ADME principal investigator, my work focuses on optimizing therapeutics (both small and large molecules) for optimal and indication-appropriate pharmacokinetic parameters. This involves coordinating studies in pre-clinical species, utilization of a suite of informative in vitro assays, regular dialogue with both medicinal chemistry and biology representatives, and correlating in vivo efficacy with mechanistic biology for extracellular and cytosolic targets. In addition to being a PI, I serve as a SME on mass spectrometry approaches for peptide (cyclic and linear) and large molecule biotransformations.
