Member of the Network team responsible for diagnosing issues and resolving problems, across a variety of hardware platforms and vendors including Cisco, Juniper, F5, & Palo Alto.• Review new and existing project incentives for compliancy with IT standards, policies, and architectural design• Analyze, plan, and design initiatives or flow processes that improve performance and efficiency within the network and daily workflow• Document system level specifications, requirements, and provide architectural design per project definition/scope• Provide system level architectural guidance and feature prioritization processes, and standards• Research new and emerging technologies, innovations, & ideas • Point of escalation for a variety of technical issues and/or procedural aspects of duties• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage relationships across organizational boundaries

• Consult on various network designs with Enterprise companies providing infrastructure and application security practices to meet business requirements as well as overcoming challenges that may be experienced 
• Design, implement, & configure Cisco PIX & ASA 5500 Platforms
• Design, implement, & configure complex multipoint IPSec, L2TP over IPSec, Remote and AnyConnect services.
• Design, implement, & configure Load balancer/ADC's per advanced L4-7 intelligence
• DDOS Mitigation using either Arbor Pravail and Cisco Intrusion Prevention Systems, in addition to F5 platforms with the use of IRules, connection reaping or IP rate classes.
 • Design, implement, and configure Cisco ACS 5.x as well as perform migrations from ACS 4.2 to ACS 5.x appliances
• Document systems level specifications, requirements, as well as architectural design per the Project Definition
• Provide system level architectural guidance and feature prioritization 
• Perform complex engineering, design, implementation, troubleshooting as well maintenance tasks
• Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes, and standards
• Track industry standards and assess RFC compliance in product features and functionality 
• Research new technology areas, innovations, ideas to best serve GDT clients

Currently part of a team responsible for supporting the network security of thousands of customer web hosting environments spread across multiple datacenters worldwide. Duties and Skills• Point of escalation for junior engineers who need assistance with troubleshooting a variety of technical issues in addition to train less experienced engineers on various technical and procedural aspects of our duties
• Supporting Cisco’s PIX, ASA, and FWSM (EOL) in order to secure customers’ environments (including the maintenance/troubleshooting of IPSec VPN solutions)
• Support and deployment of Alert Logic IDS Sensors
• Supporting of Cisco CSS, ACE, and F5’s BigIP load-balancers in order to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot customers’ content networking solutions
• Technical understanding of features per ssl acceleration and off-load, persistent types and how they can be applied, load balancing algorithms, One-Connect, Fast Cache, Compression and WAN Optimization
• Strong knowledge of application concepts and the relation to network architecture and design
• Thorough understanding of Ethernet, IP, TCP, and UDP including such topics as HTTP headers
• Thorough knowledge of cloud computing and services, virtualization technologies & hybrid concepts with addition of OpenStack experience
• Knowledge and structure of multi-vendor operating systems and web application platforms
• Troubleshooting proficiency in multiple client side operating systems – Windows, Apple, iOS, Android, etc.
• Working knowledge of HTML and web design standards
• Working knowledge of Terminal Services (Microsoft/Citrix)
