I currently serve as the Technical Practice National Leader for the Natural Hazard Risk Management across North America as part of our Water Business Line. Responsible for preparing and implementing annual strategic plan to serve our range of public and private clients across an array of services focused on reducing the impacts of natural hazards and improving resilience. Also responsible for assisting in positioning for and winning strategic pursuits, identifying key technical resources for project execution across North America, and supporting regional and local leadership in growing the business. Also serve as Client Account Manager for several key clients in the area of flood risk management.

As Technical Director for Flood Management with AECOM' Australia-New Zealand Business, I was responsible to helping grow our flood management capabilities and client base after the devastation floods of 2010-2011 in eastern Australia. During this 3 year assignment I managed a team of 25+ water resource professionals focused on providing a range of services including floodplain modeling and flood risk management, water management for mining and oil/gas clients, groundwater assessments and drainage analysis for road and rail clients. I helped grow the teams portfolio of work from one that was primarily an internally focused support team with less than 20% of work coming from external clients to one where 70% of work eventually came from external clients.I was engaged on a number of projects for both local, state and Federal government clients including the facilitation of a nationwide stakeholder engagement program for the Australian Attorney Generals Office associated with the National Flood Risk Information Project. I served as Client Account Manager for several local and state clients.I also served as Project Principal for a number of flood related projects including the design of the South Rockhampton Flood Levee.

I served as both National Division Director and Director of Business Development for the Watershed Concepts business unit within AECOM. I was responsible for all aspects of the performance of the Watershed Concepts group. I was responsible for financial performance, overall leadership, strategic planning, as well as growth strategies to offset financial impacts of significant cuts in federal spending to key clients. I also served as Client Account Manager for several clients in the local, State and Federal markets.

Served as Director of Business Development for the Watershed Concepts business unit of HSMM (since acquired by AECOM). In this role I worked to grow the group, from a team of 25 in two NC offices to over 160 with 13 offices in 11 states across the US. Our growth was focused on serving FEMA as well as state and local government clients in the areas of floodplain mapping, flood mitigation, stormwater management and geospatial services

Project Manager with HSMM/Watershed Concepts (since acquired by AECOM) responsible for a range of stormwater and floodplain mapping projects for state and local government clients as well as FEMA. Experience includes establishing a stormwater utility, managing stormwater master plan/modeling projects overseeing FEMA flood mapping and DFIRM development projects, and managing GIS implementation for local government clients.

Project Manager responsible for stormwater projects ranging up to $2 Million in construction value. Responsibilities included contract negotiation, project coordination, easement acquisition, conducting public meetings and final plan approval. Reviewed and responded to citizen complaints regarding drainage problems, prioritized storm drainage improvement projects, performed analysis and design of storm drainage improvement projects, reviewed and approved stormwater detention fee credit applications. Jointly responsible for re-engineering the rezoning review process related to stormwater.
