He also directed all engineering integration efforts for Broadcom’s acquisition of Carbon Black as part of its $63 billion acquisition of VMware.Throughout his career, Joe has been awarded more than 55 U.S. patents, reflecting his contributions to the security industry. His innovations underscore a commitment to empowering defenders and outpacing evolving threats. Joe is also a board member of the Cyber Threat Alliance, supporting global standards in cybersecurity collaboration. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
