Worked in advertising in London with Brunnings (Publicis) and Wunderman (Young & Rubicam) before returning to Ireland to join Hunter (Saatchi & Saatchi), later becoming Managing Director at Bates and Red Cell, and then Chief Executive of the WPP-owned Young & Rubicam agency in Dublin. Managed advertising campaigns for major iconic brands such as Land Rover, Smirnoff, Baileys, Superquinn, Club Orange, Fiat, Pfizer, Bayer, Canada Dry, KP Snacks, Zanussi, Johnson & Johnson and Arnotts and won awards at prestigious Irish and International Advertising Awards Festivals such as CLIO, NNI, ICAD, PAA and IAPI Effectiveness Awards. Served on the Executive and the Council of The Marketing Institute of Ireland during which time he was also a member of The Marketing Society, the Irish Direct Marketing Association, the Irish Management Institute and the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland. A Board Member of Central Copy Clearance Ireland (CCCI) from 2008 until 2012.
