The role of President is a unique opportunity to be the central point of the Union’s Leadership Team. It offers the opportunity to shape and influence the academic and social life for students at Bucks New University in pursuit of the Union’s mission to ‘Make Life Better for Students at Bucks’.As President I am the principle representative of students at the University and Chair of the Trustees of a Charity whose role is to improve the education of students at Bucks New University.Responsibilities: -Chief elected officer of the membership organisation which as a £3 million turnover, 30 permanent employees and over 250 casual and temporary staff, with responsibility for finance, staffing, legal compliance, governance and representing over 9000 students.-Chair of the most senior Union committees, including its Trustee Board, and a full member of Buckinghamshire New University’s governing body.-Setting the political direction of the Union and communication with all stakeholders.-Primary representative for all students at Bucks New University on issues within the University, the local community and the national stage.-Leading engagement with the national student movement and the future direction of Higher Education and enabling others to do so in order to strengthen the Union’s sphere of influence.-Responsible for producing and delivering the strategic plan of the Union in partnership with stakeholders.-Responsible for shaping and influencing the academic and social life for students at Bucks New University in pursuit of the Union’s mission to ‘Make Life Better for Students at Bucks’.

Currently progressing my interests in strength and conditioning as an intern at Watford FC. My main emphasis is the development of the academy players based at Harefield, recovery and progression. Lead by Callum Sharpin & Peter Sharp.

Duties and responsibilities: • Lead a team (up to 20) throughout the night • Acting as an information point for guests.• Perform fire safety checks• Helping set-up and pack down the venue during events.• Acting as first aider during events.• Ensuring the general safety of the guests, staff, venue managers and any volunteers in the Venue.• Working as a team both with other event security, door security and stewards, providing mutual support and trust in carrying out duties.• Protecting the fabric and fittings of the premises and ensure security of equipment and stock.• Keeping the premises clean, tidy and free from spillages or other hazards before, during and after opening hours.• Ensuring the Venue is secure at the end of the night.• Understanding, following and carrying out venue policies correctly and professionally.• Observe and work within licensing, health and safety, hygiene and other regulations pertaining to the operation of the premises.

Organise and run an intramural 5 a-side football league to encourage participation in sport.
