Originally from Nottingham, I am currently living in London and working within the field of Careers. I am a keen player of sports, playing cricket, football and squash. I also enjoy bouldering to keep fit.As a Careers and Recruitment Consultant. I specialise in working with final year, alumni and post graduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds to support them in finding graduate level work.A self confessed 'people person,' I love working with students to develop their career ambitions. This can involve working on their CV, preparing them for an interview, seeking job opportunities or working out with them what drives them, what motivates them and starting their career journey from scratch.I am an experienced advisor, with 5 years across both Nottingham Trent University and Anglia Ruskin University London. With a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Information, I have both the theoretical and practical experience to offer students all the guidance they need to succeed.

    In this role, I work closely with the Business Development and Business Adviser teams at the University, dealing directly with employers in a business facing environment. The purpose of these teams is to source graduate roles and build relationships with employers in the city and nationally, ensuring students are able to find placement opportunities while at University, and have plenty of options for full time employment when they leave. One of my main duties is to look after our graduate portal. This includes vetting and approving roles added by employers, and adding roles sourced by NTU teams. As part of this, I ensure that all roles are advertised consistently and with as much information as possible, working with NTU colleagues or employers to fill in any missing information. I have also developed and delivered training to NTU staff around data integrity. This is to help develop an understanding of what the current generation of graduates want in a job advert, and how these colleagues can then work with employers to get this information.I am also involved in analysis and reporting. Within this, I develop weekly, monthly and yearly data that delves into the number of roles being added, any trends that can be found in these figures, as well as reporting on any industry gaps that we can expand into. I can also run various ad hoc reports as required by staff. This could involve sector, industry or even individual company reports to analyse activity and engagement.Finally, I work in the Universities widening participation scheme, called RISE. This scheme is aimed at students who meet one of 5 select criteria, to ensure they have fair access to opportunities whilst at NTU, and ultimately enabling students from WP backgrounds to enjoy the same success levels as their non-WP peers both during and after their studies. My role is to work with employers to help them understand and improve widening participation, and to help our students access the support on offer.

Also oversaw the booking of hotel accommodation and tables at the event, and the raising of payments for this.
