I am involved in a range of practical and administrative tasks such as animal husbandry, machinery operation and record keeping to a high standard. Alongside this, I regularly analyse data from the farm and input it into industry-leading data models to identify key performance indicators and areas of improvement, which has contributed to a 24% drop in fertiliser-associated emissions between 2020 and 2022. I have also coordinated with farm stakeholders, including local and national rivers trusts, the Environment Agency and agricultural consultants to develop effective strategies for nutrient pollution reduction by reducing farmyard runoff and increasing slurry storage from 3 months to 5 months.
