After reading Marty Smith's book Never Settle, I was motivated by his three things to wake up and do every day - to be kind, give effort, and find your passion. These three words (kindness, effort, passion) really resonated with me for this is the foundation I have lived my life and approached my work. Kindness. I have worked to treat others how they would want to be treated, how they should be treated. Helping others achieve their goals. As a leader, connecting with others daily. Holding difficult conversations to hold others accountable and helping them grow and develop. To achieve equity for all within a diverse team. Being a champion of DEI within the market and organization that I work. Effort. I approach my work with relentless effort and consistently look to grow and develop myself and support individuals in their personal growth. I want to work for everything to achieve the results or expectations asked of me. I will advocate for the team I am leading and looking out for those that I am working with.Passion. Within my role and organization, I seek out areas of interest and work to represent those areas by taking a lead with them. Taking on added responsibilities to help others that may see it as an area of opportunity. I have a proven track record of developing others; it is with this approach that I have been successful in my role as a leader. In my time as a leader, I have been a market leader, respected by my peers as one that they can and do seek out in times of need. Everything I do I strive to lead with kindness, effort, and passion.
