Analytical Chemist

My main duties were to perform assays using Liquid and Gas chromatography. As a result I am now proficient in a range of lab techniques: the correct use of volumetric glassware and Gilson pipettes, producing calibration standards, calibrating autodiluters and balances, setting up and programming HPLC/UPLC systems , processing and interpreting data in a timely manner and general lab housekeeping - washing glassware, disposing of and tracking samples in refrigeration and accurate record-keeping. In addition, all our work must adhere to strict international regulations of ‘Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)’, and I have been trained in GLP compliance. These stringent regulations require accurate, meticulous and current records to be kept detailing every stage of analysis.
