As an mechanical technician at WOOD, I apply my mechanical maintenance skills to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the platforms equipment. I work with a team of experienced technicians to carry out inspections, repairs, and modifications of various equipment and systems, following safety and quality standards. I also participate in continuous learning and development programs to enhance my technical and professional competencies.I have a HNC in Mechanical Engineering from North East Scotland College, which I completed in June 2022. I then finished my last 2 years of the apprenticeship with TAQA group on the Tern alpha before moving to WOOD as a mechanical technician on the north Everest platform, I was an apprentice mechanical engineer at OPITO, the global skills organisation for the energy industry, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and exposure to different aspects of mechanical engineering, such as design, testing, and troubleshooting. I am passionate about pursuing a career in the energy sector, where I can contribute to the development and innovation of sustainable and efficient solutions.
