I am the Chair at IndiNature, an innovative developer and manufacturer of bio-based, negative embodied carbon construction products. Located in Jedburgh, IndiNature is backed by the Scottish National Investment Bank, an environmental and social impact investor. My wife and I also farm in partnership in a sustainable way, including growing crops for a green biogas facility.Prior to 2021, I spent two decades shaping and leading transformational growth strategies, often with an international angle, in small and large businesses. I did this in the context of a European « Buy and Build » strategy in sustainable building products for a FTSE 250 business, SIG plc, and a consumer brand and product development strategy in natural fibre (wool) textiles in the UK and China for British Wool. In addition, between 2013 and 2015, I was an investor at LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Bank, where I made a number of successful investments and represented LDC’s interests on the board of investee companies.
