As a litigator, I handle discrimination and wage-and-hour matters from the moment our clients are served with a demand letter, administrative charge, or lawsuit. I compose pleadings, written discovery materials, briefs, memoranda and motions, including dispositive motions, in connection with federal or state court litigations. I then argue these motions and other litigation disputes in federal and state courts located in New York. I first-chair and second-chair depositions, which includes first-chairing plaintiff’s depositions; if second-chairing, I assist the primary attorney with objections and lines of questioning. I also prepare position statements in response to administrative charges, and conduct witness interviews in preparation for responding to these charges before New York State or federal agencies.As a counselor, I advise clients on a range of federal and New York State employment law issues including Paid Sick Leave, discrimination, wage-and-hour, and Artificial Intelligence. I also craft, negotiate, revise and review employment, non-compete, as well as severance agreements.

I researched federal cases relating to writs of habeas corpus and the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. I drafted briefs for cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. I prepared supervisors, as well as fellow students, for oral arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth, Eleventh, and District of Columbia Circuits.

I researched federal and state cases, trial court orders, as well as statutes which address employment law. I frequently composed memoranda, that analyzed employment law and facts in ongoing employment law cases, to attorneys. I drafted documents, with an attorney’s supervision, that would be submitted to federal courts in the State of New York. I also assessed, through research and analysis, if sufficient federal or state case law existed to challenge New York City employment ordinances in court.

I analyzed ongoing labor law cases to decide, after researching the precedent and reading the presented materials, if the NAM should submit an amicus brief on behalf of the manufacturer involved in the suit. I also corresponded with the NAM’s outside counsel regarding legal strategies to challenge regulations and laws that disadvantage or materially injure employers.

I researched cases and administrative determinations at this Article III federal court with nationwide jurisdiction. I drafted memoranda which analyzed antidumping, countervailing duty, and customs classification issues. I met with the judge's law clerks daily to discuss my research and prepare questions for oral arguments. After preparing these oral-argument materials, I was able to observe these proceedings from the bench.

This job payed my way through high school and college. I refilled prescriptions using OPUS software, informed clients about prescriptions’ side effects or medication changes, and worked side by side with the head pharmacist. I would interact with drug wholesalers, doctors’ offices, and customers via telephone, to increase the pharmacist’s productivity as well as diminish customers’ waiting times.

I drafted letters to clients regarding their case's status; this would include any progress, setbacks, or obstacles to moving their case forward. I called clients, who did not pay their outstanding balance, to collect overdue payments. I also filed client bills and correspondence.
