I am currently assisting the Senior Center of Boulder City in an emergency management plan and I own a residential appraisal company in the Vegas metropolitan area.I have over 15 years of experience in appraising residential real estate. I have handled complex appraisal assignments throughout the Las Vegas and Southern Nevada region. My background and experience have also allowed me to accept roles as an expert witness that require detailed and accurate appraisal work. I have performed appraisals for financial institutions, probate, foreclosure, divorce, estate planning, and review work. I have also served as a volunteer chaplain at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and have training in Critical Incident Stress Management. I currently hold an M.S. in Crisis and Emergency Management from UNLV, which includes courses in Terrorism, Emergency Management, Organizational Leadership, Community Preparedness, and Natural, Chemical, and Biological Disasters.I am currently serving in a volunteer position with the Senior Center of Boulder City as an Emergency Manager and have created an emergency response plan that allows for the center to become a shelter in a crisis event that will serve the needs of older adults in the community. Currently, I am working on establishing quarterly workshops that educate and prepare the community for a disaster event to improve preparedness and resiliency.I recently completed a Continuity of Operations plan for a privately owned service business to ensure protocols and processes that would allow the business to resume operations within twelve hours of losing its current office site due to a disaster. The plan addressed data backup that is compliant with state regulations, budgeting for the replacement of office equipment, assignment of roles for employees, and implementation of a yearly review, training exercises, and continual risk assessment.
