Joe Garrell, CCIM, has more than 30 years of broad based experience in the commercial real estate industry having brokered transactions in 8 states and 4 foreign countries. He was in international sales & marketing in San Francisco and New York with multi-national firms in New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain prior to returning home to Myrtle Beach, SC where, among other projects, conceptualized, assembled and implemented the noteworthy acquisition and sale of over 43% of International Paper Realty's 11,000 acre Carolina Forest Development bordered by 5.5 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway across from the City of Myrtle Beach and planned by Kimberly-Horn for 55,000 residents. He also specializes in waterfront properties. Mr. Garrell has completed over 535 classroom hours leading to over 21 designations including 2 awarded by the prestigious Urban Land Institute in which he was a Full Member. He holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation & has completed the rigorous Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation (non-practicing). He is a licensed broker in both the Carolinas.Seeking to always give back to his community he sponsors "Joe's Lunch Bunch" to aid in feeding the Grand Strand homeless and is an active long term supporter and participant of musical theater. Joe graduated with a BA in Economics from UNC Chapel Hill and a BS in Food Chemistry from NC State University in Raleigh.
