Responsible for managing and executing all GIS functions applicable to electric transmission operations and maintenance, planning and development and land services. Specifically, GIS is used for managing and storing information regarding all of Lone Star's assets, facilities, easements and landowner relations. It is also strategically used for project development and generation interconnection.

I was a GIS Technical Lead for an array of different projects for SAM, LLC. I championed an effort for a GIS based application for both internal and external clients. This included everything from product research and evaluation, to implementation and testing, to establishing workflows, writing specs for customized tools and enhancements, project set-up to the final project roll-out. I also was a project manager for an asset inventory project utilizing LiDAR and panoramic imagery techniques that captured over 4400 traffic control signs in Brownsburg, IN. I participated as a phase manager for a separate asset inventory involving a major communications company that identified assets within easements and road right-of-ways for a proposed underground fiber-optic line. I also led a group of technicians on a pilot overhead fiber project by identifying existing point of attachments on utility poles and right-of-way assets to provide data for make ready engineering.

I was responsible to design, operate and maintain a fully operational GIS for a new electric transmission company. Served as the single point of contact for any questions, ideas, recommendations or support on any topics regards GIS. I created fully customized geodatabases capturing spatial data for engineering and construction, land acquisition, as-built and maintenance phases for Lone Star’s 345 kV transmission CREZ line. The geodatabase was tied to a mobile solution were it was smartphone accessible to field crews utilizing ArcGIS Collector application for operations and maintenance tasks. Furthermore, the geodatabase was integrated into a web-based GIS application to show Lone Star's assets and land acquisition progress. Other duties included exhibit creation for eminent domain hearing, creation of maps and spatial analysis for electric transmission proposals and general GIS support.

I was the GIS Department Manager for AECOM Water that was a mapping partner along with with Baker for the FEMA Map Modernization and Risk Map contracts. I managed a group of six GIS professionals in the production of FEMA Region IV, VI and IX Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRM) for the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) . Under my guidance, the following county DFIRMs were finalized; Oklahoma- Stephens, Garfield, Kingfisher, Caddo, Custer, Carter, Logan, Texas, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pittsburg, Garvin, and AdairNew Mexico- EddyTexas- Potter and RandallArkansas- Ouachita South Carolina- McCormick, Edgefield and CherokeeMy technical duties included performing QA/QC of DFIRM products and technical documents to adhere to FEMA guides and specification standards; implementing, managing and maintaining standard FEMA geodatabases in ArcSDE; and creating water surface elevation rasters, floodways and profiles from HEC RAS outputs in WISE.

I conducted spatial analysis on collected disease, vital statistics, medical infrastructure data throughout the state of Texas as well as producing cartographic output used for health related reports and journals. I also self-taught basics in HTML 4 to updated DSHS Intranet GIS page that provided staff with most frequently requests maps for reports and journals.

I was the GIS Data Specialist within the Department of Planning and Economic Development. I had a very diverse workload from making simple maps used for planning meetings to developing a spatial model for the county and metro Detroit area greenways vision and a senior population study. In addition, I was the point of contact for data requests, troubleshooting and basic training for staff with the county.

Applied GIS analytical and cartographic skills to various projects and departments throughout Central Michigan University in addition to being a graduate assistant for the Geography Department.As a graduate assistant I taught laboratory sections of GISci classes such as Introduction to Cartography, Introduction to GIS, Advanced Cartography and Thematic Map Design.I was hired by CMU's Research Corporation on two spatial business intelligece projects. For one of the projects, GIS was used to geocode over 500,000 consumer sales records from a local casino and was aggregate to the census tract level and was incorporated with other statistical and marketing analysis outputs such as push/pull factors, market share and zero-sum for spatial investigation. The other project implemented soil, weather, demographic, prior claims, sales and statistical data to predict location and the cost of future insurance claims by metropolitan statistical areaI was also hired by the College of Health Professions to map and identify spatial trends in a four county health survey.
